APERC launched the Capacity Building Workshop on Energy Efficiency and Conservation Policy (CBWS/EECP) as a successor to the PREE project, and held its first session on November 18, 2025, in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The theme was “Members’ Journey with MEPS,” focusing on Minimum Energy Performance Standards as a key tool for advancing energy efficiency. The workshop aimed to share implementation challenges, exchange lessons learned and develop actionable recommendations. Through expert presentations, economy case studies, and breakout sessions, participants identified common barriers and proposed solutions. A Workshop Summary Report will consolidate insights and serve as a foundation for future APEC energy efficiency initiatives.
