

7th Oil and Gas Security Exercise in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The 7th Oil and Gas Security Exercise (OGSE) was successfully conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 19 to 21 May 2026. The exercise aimed to assess Malaysia's readiness and identify potential gaps in the economy's oil and gas supply disruption management while also raising awareness among oil and gas sector professionals about the importance of proactive measures in addressing unforeseen events. Malaysian oil and gas stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Petronas, and Malaysia’s disaster and emergency response teams from the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), as well as related agencies, demonstrated exceptional commitment and effort throughout the exercise. At the same time, the Expert Team, comprising representatives from international institutions specializing in oil and gas economics and supply chain management, provided valuable feedback on the Malaysian stakeholders’ response strategies during the exercise and shared important insights on global developments and oil and gas security issues.
