APERC President Kazutomo Irie hosts the Official Preview of the APEC Energy Demand and Supply Outlook 9th Edition

Tokyo, Japan – On 30 October in Singapore, Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC) Chairman & President Dr Kazutomo Irie presided over the official preview of the APEC Energy Demand and Supply Outlook 9th Edition. While the report will be published at a later date, the event provided a platform to highlight the key themes and analyses that the Outlook will cover.

First published in 1998, this flagship report will present projections of energy demand and supply for each of the 21 APEC member economies, which together account for roughly 60% of global energy demand. The Outlook supports APEC members in navigating the evolving energy landscape by identifying key challenges and opportunities in the energy sector, while projecting the impact of current energy trends and policies on each economy’s fuel mix, energy goals, and CO2 emissions.
